I just found out last night that you are a healthy little girl! Your daddy is just over-joyed and your Godfather, Dale, is as well. I didn't speak to your mom on the phone but I know she is estatic.

Your mom had the name Cassandra Fantasia picked for you, as I had already written. But your daddy really didn't like Fantasia at all, so they agreed to let him have the middle name. And he chose "Judith".

I absolutely love it. It sounds old-fashioned, elegant, charming, very Victorian to me, just beautiful. He couldn't have come up with a better name. You will have your daddy's initials and I hope his dimples. I am looking for a christening dress to make for you (whether or not you wear it is o.k., I just want to make it!), and it will be beautiful as well. I can't wait to meet you.

Well, it's coming

It's Friday, July 8, 2005 and Hurricane Dnnis is coming our way. It is a Cat 4 right now and is going over Cuba, I'm not ashamed to say, I'm scared. I have to call your dad later and see what he is going to do so I'll update later.

Hurricane!

Hey sweetie. I talked to your dad today, your mom went for her check-up and everything is fine. In two weeks, when she goes back, they'll be able to tell if you are a boy or girl.

There's a big ole nasty storm brewing in the Gulf, the map shows we are the projected point of impact. I hope not. I have seen these major storms before and I hate them. But we will make sure you are o.k., don't worry.

Hurricane Season

Well it has started already, the hurricane season. We have a tropical storm coming in At New Orleans tonight, not real big, her name is Cindy. We are supposed to get a lot of rain over the next day or so and a little wind.

Then there's Dennis, that is the one I am watching. It is supposed to be in the Gulf next week, with winds over 100m.p.h., I don't like that at all!! Oh well, we'll see what happens.

HEY, IT'S JULY THE FIRST!!!

Hey, little one, it's a brand new month. I thought I would take a minute to update a few things.

You dad called tonight and said that he and your mom have decided to get married August 19. They are living together now, but they want to make it official before you get here. Her family is coming down that week-end and they decided it would be a good time. I will be going, as well as Tee and Rachael. I WILL be taking pictures and will post them as well.

I am designing you a little black sweater with a skull in the crochet, it is coming out really well. Pictures of the start of it is in this blog's sister blog, but as soon as I get it finished, I post the picture here. Your dad requested it for you. I am making all sorts of blankets and sweaters for you, it will be cold when you are born.

Your mom isn't far enough along yet to know if you are a girl or boy, but that's o.k., It doesn't matter what you are, we will all love you just the same. She is going back to the doctor for a check-up this coming Wednesday, so I will have an update then.

Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Conner resigned today from the Supreme Court. She was the first female to ever sit on the highest court in America, and possibly the world. They are scrambling for a replacement for "W" to recommend, he wants the position filled before the session starts in October. Not alot of time.

John McCain is running for President again, I think. He said he is seriously considering it. Oh yeah, I got my first cell phone today. Rachael and Tia have one as well. I guess I'm not a luddite anymore, hmmmm?

O.K., it's 1:00 a.m. and I am sleepy. So I'm gonna go. But Grammie loves you, and so does Grampy and Aunt Rachael.
